It's easy to get to the Isle of Harris
The Hebrides at Tarbert, Isle of Harris
Put your clubs in the car and head north - car ferries to the Western Isles sail from Ullapool (Wester Ross) and from Uig (Isle of Skye). Ullapool is approx 1hr 15 mins from Inverness and from here you can sail into Stornoway. The journey from Stornoway to Scarista Golf Course will take you approximately 1hr 15 mins. Alternatively, you can drive to Uig in the Isle of Skye (approx 2hrs 30 mins from Inverness) and you can sail directly into Tarbert, Harris on Caledonian MacBrayne's car ferry The Hebrides. Scarista is about 20 minutes drive from Tarbert.

Should you prefer to fly to the Western Isles, flights are available from both Glasgow and Inverness to Stornoway. Car hire can be booked in advance or there is an excellent bus service which will drop you off at the course. Accommodation is available locally, either bed & breakfast or local hotels. Golf Clubs can be hired from the club.
The Tourist Information Centre in Tarbert will have all the details you'll need.
Once you're in Scarista, there will be no long queues - just place your green fee in the honesty box, walk on and enjoy a satisfying round of golf on a course which has been described as one of the most picturesque 9 hole courses in the world.
If you are a Life Member, you don't even have to pay your green fee - just play and enjoy.
