The past year has been somewhat surreal at the Golf Club with us having to adapt to the changing landscape the Covid-19 pandemic has left us with. We are in the fortunate position to have had good stewardship over a number of years (long before I was Captain), which has left us financially secure and able to weather the Covid storm relatively unscathed.
Some of the changes forced upon us by the pandemic have resulted in improvements in the way things work. The online booking system for example, has been excellent for both members and visitors alike and is something which we will retain into the future.
There are aspirations and goals we are working towards and we hope that some of these can come to fruition over the next while. Some of these are listed below.
As a Club we recognise there are always areas where we can improve and would welcome any suggestions from members of where you see things are not quite right.
I would like to express my thanks to the office bearers, committee members and you as members for your continued support of the Club.
Finally, I would like to thank on your behalf, James Dunne for the work he does. James is not only the Greenkeeper but handles competition entries, tee bookings, handicap secretary and enforcer for non- paying guests, to name but a few of the roles he fulfills on our behalf. Thank you James.
